About Us

Tim Bird is an illustrator who lives and works in Winchester. He has been making comics for around 10 years. In 2015 he won Best Comic at the British Comics Awards for From the City to the Sea, published by Avery Hill Publishing. The comic was a poetic meditation on the route he walked out of London along the Thames Estuary. His comics are often quiet reflections on moments of shared experiences - motorway journeys remembered from childhood, trips to football matches with his dad or the memories evoked by pop music.

Julian Payne is a part time, self taught comics scribbler. He has been making comics for five years and has self published 3 comics. Working with his wife Zoe Elkins they create folk horror tales often rooted in the English countryside. Julian illustrates with a comics style that attempts to blend manga with English pastoralism. Julian lives in Winchester with Zoe and their 4 children.
